I feel great, why am I on a diet?

It is amazing how much better I am feeling now that it has been 2 weeks plus 2 days as a tripawd.  The medication is out of my system finally and my appetite is coming back.  When I started into this transformation I was 99.8 pounds.  Mom took me and my sister Sunshine, to our regular doctors office a couple days ago to weigh Sunny, she’s a big girl and has to lose 34 more pounds.   You can see how big Sunshine is in this picture of her and my bipawd sibling Carolyn when they were trying to be stowaways.

So, what does Mom do, she gets me on the scale after Sunshine.  I have lost weight.  I am down to 88 pounds and now she says I still need to lose 13 more pounds?  When was I put on a diet?????  Does she not understand I am much better and my appetite is back?  I was 94 pounds after surgery, I have lost 6 pounds in 2 weeks, my appetite is back and now I am on a diet.  Ugh!!!

Here is a pic of me at 99.8 pounds with my little brother Sammy.  (Sammy is too skinny in my opinion)  I don’t think I look overweight.  You can see from previous post my weight loss and Mom is going to continue to take pictures of my recovery and as she says, “Getting to my proper Super Hero weight.”  Leave it to Mom.

  1. Holy canoli! Are you sure Sunshine has to lose 34 pound? I think maybe your paw hit the wrong key and it’s 14 pounds. Is that possible?

I’m looking at that picture of you and Sammy on the couch. I enlarged it. I’m no expert, but that green box under the book on the coffee table looks suspiciously like a box of Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies. And it is February, which is officially Girl Scout season. My advice is not to observe Girl Scout season this year.

But don’t worry, Boomer. There are so many celebrations around here that you’ll be getting good stuff! And I think you look just fine.

    1. Yes, 34 pounds and she started out with 39 pounds to lose. She is really a very big girl, beyond curves just rolls. But you flatter her in thinking only 13 pounds. 🙂

    2. Boomer- Hang in there! I’m sure your Mom will make sure you get some tasty treats too! Apparently Dakota has cookies on the brain! I don’t really think that Microsoft box tastes anything like thin mints but he sure “made me look”!

  3. DEAR BOOMER

YOU ARE MY FRIEND? YOUR MOMMY WRITED TO ME TO SAY YOU ARE MY FRIEND! THAT DOES MAKE ME SO HAPPY.

I DO NOT KNOW ABOUT DIETS. I AM LOUD TO EAT ALL I WANT ALL DAY LONG. I CAN NOT GET FAT. I AM JUST A SCRAWNY DOG. IT IS EASIER TO FLY TO BE A SUPERHERO DOG. SKINNY RULES!

  4. Boomer, I had to lose weight too after my amputation. I was 84 pounds. Tell Sunshine that if I was still down here on Earth, I would totally be crushing on her!
